Specific responsibilities include profit/loss statements, reconciliation and support of balance sheet, financial analysis and reporting, coordination with other business units, functions, and other job families (trading, product line management, supply chain...), work on process improvements and support of Accounting Manager & Controller.
Responsibilities:
The role of General Accountant is responsible for:
Producing profit/loss statement and balance sheet;
Analyzing, understanding and being able to clarify financial information by working closely together with local plant-accounting team and local plant management;
Timely producing management and corporate reporting;
Month end activities such as inventory, yield analyses, unloading, open contracts, trading result, journal entries, accruals, open contract review, and balance sheet reconciliations;
Performing daily position reporting and Forex reporting;
Participating in ad hoc Finance projects and cross-functional projects. (information support for various business initiatives; being lead in projects, ...);
Understanding and monitoring internal control procedures, adherence to procedures and guidelines, such as contract entry requirements.

3 to 5 years work experience in a industrial environment (experience in processing environment is a plus).
Good understanding of and demonstrated commitment to internal control.
High degree of computer literacy, Excel in particular.
Basic knowledge of US GAAP.
Highly motivated with collaborative working style at the same time with ability to work independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of work processes. Result oriented.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail
Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment
Ability to deal with conflict
Basic understanding of Dutch is highly recommended, fluency in English is a must.
Willing to travel
Knowledge in JDE World and/or JDE One World is an asset.
Good understand of local taxation and accounting standards and general understanding of commodity or financial trading are a plus.
